About
STAYING GROUNDED TOGETHER In response to what is happening in the world right now, NextGen Synergy Inc. is releasing this video and companion guide as an offering of care, grounding, and solidarity. Many communities are carrying fear, uncertainty, and trauma, especially within immigrant communities and families. People are trying to process complex and scary realities while continuing to show up for one another. This resource is meant to help supporters slow down, stay present, and lead with emotional safety and connection. This conversation brings together voices rooted in lived experience, clinical expertise, advocacy, and community leadership: 🩷 Dr. Monica Y McCall, CPDC, ACC, Co-Executive Director, NextGen Synergy Inc. 🩷 Nicholas Burton, Co-Executive Director, NextGen Synergy 🩷 Dr. Karyn Harvey Ph.D, Psychologist, author, trainer, and speaker 🩷 Flor De Amelia Hoffman, Program Director, Avanzos Educational and Behavioral Services 🩷 Nicole LeBlanc, Self-advocate and consultant Together, we reflect on how stress and trauma show up, why emotional safety must come before problem-solving, and how calm, consistent presence helps people feel less alone during uncertain times. We encourage you to share this video and guide with your teams, colleagues, families, and communities. Use it to start conversations. Use it to pause together. Use it to help create safe spaces where people can feel seen, heard, and supported. This is not about explaining laws, predicting outcomes, or offering false reassurance. It is about trust, relationships, and staying grounded together. We stand in solidarity with communities across this country who are seeking peace, safety, and dignity.
